I am honoured to have been selected as the recipient of the Rusconi Foundation scholarship for the EPFL-  School of Life Sciences Summer Research Program (SRP)  2022.   Thanks to your generous contribution, I will be able to spend these months researching what I am passionate about in a state-of-the-art facility and under the supervision of world-renowed scientists. 

I will be working in the  Dal Peraro Lab ; our goal is to develop an artificial intelligence  which potentially allows to reduce the time and the operational costs needed for the development of new drugs.

At the end of the program, I am looking forward to completing the  MSc in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at University of Pavia (Italy) and Ghislieri College.  In future, I wish to further my education with a PhD,  therefore this internship is an amazing opportunity to « get a taste » of the research environment here at EPFL. 

Lastly, I am glad that the Rusconi Foundation makes empowering underrepresented students a part of its mission; as a first generation female student in science, I had to face many obstacles, and it is thanks to donors like the Rusconi Foundation that I have come this far.
